Cherry is a multi-passionate cheffe and owner of Mindful Eats.

My name is Cherry and I am a multi-passionate cheffe, owner of Mindful Eats, and mom to a prince and princess. I am in love with life and everything it has to offer. My biggest passions are traveling, cooking, and educating which for the past several years has encouraged me to become a personal cheffe. Prior to becoming a cheffe, I was a teacher for students with a variety of exceptionalities for the past 15 years. 

In my family, and even with my exceptional students, food was always the connecting piece. In my cultural values, we use food to invite others into our family. When I started traveling frequently, I understood that many cultures had the same values with food and dining: it is a bonding experience meant to be enjoyed with the people you love. 

For me, crafting meals and inviting others to eat is a fulfilling experience. When I decided to create Mindful Eats, I wanted to bring that experience and pleasure into the homes of the people I love. My hope is that they will, in turn, share these dining experiences with the people they love.

Becoming a personal chef has allowed me to support working women like you, your family, and your friends to gather around delicious meals to mindfully reconnect to what is important to you.  As a busy working mama with active children, it can be challenging at times to provide a good, nutritious home cooked meal for the family. I get it! This is all about to change for you! I am here to create and teach you, your family, and even your friends how enjoyable cooking and eating well can be. 

Having a healthy lifestyle was also a goal for me for many years. Not being at optimal health was preventing me from being present with my family, friends and at my place of work. I had to make the ultimate decision to make changes and stick with it. Slowly I started to incorporate healthy eating and activities. These changes lead me to become a Bariatric patient. In June of 2021, I took full control of my health and body weight. Being a bariatric patient has taught me the importance of proper nutrition, portion control and the importance of using fresh ingredients. This personal growth allows me to serve my clients and relates to all my clients dietary needs.
